ADDON DOMAINS

Addon domains give you the ability to host multiple domains using your single cPanel account by pointing to a subdirectory in your primary account. Users cannot tell the difference when you use a properly configured addon domain.

1. Create an Addon domain in cPanel

a. Type “addon” in the find functions box

b. Click on the “Addon Domains” icon.

c. Type in the domain name you’d like to use as an Addon domain in the New Domain Name input area.

d. You may also choose to create an FTP account to use specifically for the addon domain. Choose the option to create an FTP account associated with this addon domain.

e. Type a secure password for your new FTP account in the Password input area.

f. Retype your password in the Password (Again) input area to confirm.

g. Choose the option to Add Domain when finished.

Select Addon Domains in the Domains section on the home screen.

Find the domain you’d like to modify in the Modify Addon Domain section. You can edit the addon domain root directory by pressing edit or set up a redirect to another domain.
