How to back up a copy of my database in cPanel?
Backing up your database in cPanel is a simple but essential step to protect your website data. There are three convenient ways to do this — whether you prefer using phpMyAdmin, the built-in Backup tool, or the Backup Wizard.
Note: If you are looking for the manual backup via the phpMyAdmin export and import method, click here for our detailed guide. This guide will walk you through the other two methods available directly in cPanel.
*What is the difference? The Backup tool lets you manually download full or partial backups, including databases, email forwarders, and filters. For a more guided experience, the Backup Wizard walks you through the backup or restore process in a few simple steps — ideal for beginners.
