How to change the PHP version on my server?

Using an updated version of PHP is recommended. Updated PHP enhances security, improves performance, and makes sure everything works with the latest features. Some websites require a specific PHP version, and the server’s default may not always work with your scripts. If needed, cPanel lets you easily switch to a different PHP version for your hosted domain.

Note: Older website code may break or be incompatible with updated PHP versions. Verify if your website is compatible with the PHP update. To avoid data loss, it is always advisable to create a full backup of your files and database.

1. Access cPanel directly through your Z.com account.

2. Once you have reached the cPanel dashboard, locate MultiPHP Manager under Software.

3. Select the domain for which you want to change the PHP version.

4. Select the required PHP version from the PHP Version drop-down menu.

5. Once done, click Apply.

A successful application of the newly selected PHP version should look like this.
