What is Domain Forwarding, and why is it good?
Domain Forwarding, known as URL redirecting. Works with or without web hosting with Z.com and offers you value in the following ways.
This service provides a constant online address for your brand or business, which you can link to any online space you choose. It could be your existing website, your Facebook or Instagram page, or your portfolio site, anytime.
For owners who want to use Instagram to maintain their eCommerce store, a domain name is an excellent way. When users search for your brand name with your domain name, they can still find your Instagram account and view your products.
There are two options for domain forwarding - forwarding only and forwarding with masking. Both options redirect your visitors, but forwarding with masking has additional features.

Forwarding Only
When visitors type yourdomainname.com in their web browser, they will redirect to the website yourdomainname.net, with yourdomainname.net reflected at the browser address.

When visitors type yourdomainname.com in their web browser, they will redirect it to yourdomainname.net. However, their browser address will continue to show yourdomainname.com.

What is domain forwarding / URL Redirect?
Domain forwarding or URL redirect, this function will allow you to forward your website visitor to visit different domain or preferred website URL.
You can choose from one of the several option below to activate your Domain/URL Redirect:
- 1301 Forwarding, this same as (Permanent Redirect),
- 2302 Forwarding (Temporary Redirect), And
- 3Masked Forwarding (URL Frame)
It might take a while for the redirect settings to start working, due to DNS propagation.
Note: Please do not update your Domain Nameservers, this function will only work using our default DNS Nameservers.

How can I activate my domain forwarding to other websites/URLs?
Domain Forwarding or domain redirect is a service that allows you to forward/redirect a domain name to another domain or URL. It works with or without web hosting with Z.com.
To set-up your domain forwarding/Redirect, please refer to the below guides:
- 1Go to our Sign-in page.
- 2Enter your Email Address and Password, and proceed to log in.
- 3On the left side of the top navigation bar, click on the Domains drop-down menu and click My Domains or DOMAINS directly.
- 4Click on the settings icon on the right side of your domain.
- 5Click Redirects on the left side under Manage.
- 6Click +Redirects.
- 7You may fill in the blank fields accordingly (optional: click Advanced Settings for the Redirect Types, www. Redirection, and Subdirectory Settings).

How can I redirect my domain and configure it so that my domain name appears in the address bar?
If you want to redirect your domain so the domain name appears in the address bar, we call it "masked", you can achieve this through domain forwarding with masking.
