Kindly note that Z.com only suspend accounts when necessary. If you saw a notice that says your website is temporarily offline or your hosting plan status indicates suspended, then there are two likely reasons:
1. Your hosting plan is overdue.
Hosting invoices are raised seven days before the renewal date and have an additional seven days grace after the renewal date – giving a two-week payment window. During that time, we will send email reminders before suspending your account. You can reactivate a website automatically within minutes by logging in and paying for the overdue invoice.
2. Your website or email accounts have been compromised.
(i) We operate a broad range of security measures.
For example, as part of our security strategy, we scan all file uploads to your website in real-time and periodically carry out full scans against open-source and proprietary malware fingerprint databases.
Suppose these systems detect a match that represents a likely threat to the security of your website content. In that case, we will suspend the account to protect the integrity and reputation of your business, our network and other customers on the same server.
(ii) Or if we noticed unusual email activity.
For example, we find your account suddenly sends out emails to non-existent addresses, or we begin receiving many complaints regarding emails from your account. In that case, we will suspend your account pending investigation.
If this is the reason for your suspension, you will likely have received an email detailing the issue and what to do if you receive a security notice.
