1. Disable the Registrar Lock.
A. Log in to your Namecheap account dashboard.
B. Navigate to the “Manage Domains” section.
C. Click on the domain name you wish to transfer to Z.com.
D. From the “Modify Domain” page, click “Registrar Lock” from the left navigation bar.
E. Select the radio button labelled “Release the registrar lock so the domain can be transferred to another registrar”.
F. Click on “Save Changes”.
2. Disable WhoisGuard and update your contact information
A. Log in to your Namecheap account dashboard if you have logged out of the last session.
B. Navigate to the “Manage Domains” section.
C. Click on the domain name you wish to transfer to Z.com.
D. From the “Modify Domain” page, click the WhoisGuard “Disable” link if enabled.
E. Once the Disable WhoisGuard page is displayed, click the checkbox for “Disable F. WhoisGuard protection”.
G. You can now move on to the Administrative Contact section to update your admin email address if necessary.
H. Click the “Save Changes” button, and that is all for this stage.
3. Obtain the Authorization or EPP Code for the domain name from your Namecheap dashboard.
A. Log in to your Namecheap account dashboard if you have logged out of the last session.
B. Navigate to the “Manage Domains” section.
C. Click on the domain name you wish to transfer to Z.com.
D. From the “Modify Domain” page, click Registrar Lock from the left navigation bar.
E. You will now be required to fill in the domain name to be transferred and your Namecheap account password.
F. Once completed, click the “Get EPP code for my domain” button, and the authorization code will be sent to the Admin email address.
4. Request for the domain transfer into Z.com.
Once you have completed the processes mentioned above, you can process to do the domain transfer on Z.com, where you will be required to enter the EPP code you got from Namecheap for the domain.
