How do I restore a file using JetBackup?

If you need to recover a specific file or directory, you can restore your website from the last four days of daily backup without affecting the rest of the account.

To restore a file or a directory directly from the JetBackup dashboard in cPanel.

1. Access your JetBackup dashboard.

2. Under Restore & Download, click Home Directory.

3. You will see a list of available backups with their respective dates. Click on the backup from which you want to restore your website (e.g., 18 Sep 2024 07:00 AM). Click Change Files Selection to check the specific backup file you need to restore from the previous version.

4. Navigate through the folders to locate and select the file you want to restore. Check the box next to the file or directory. You can select multiple files if needed. Once done, click Select Files at the bottom right of the page.

5. Click Restore.

6. Click Restore Selected Items to confirm the restoration. This process will overwrite the existing files with the website version from your backup restoration point.

* By default, the Go to Queue after I click Restore option is checked. You will be redirected to the Queue page to monitor the restoration’s progress. You can uncheck it if you want to.

7. The restoration process will begin. It may take a few minutes, depending on the file size and server load.

8. Done! Once the restoration is complete, JetBackup will notify you with a message confirming the successful restoration of the selected files.
