How to reset my database password within cPanel?
Resetting a database user password in cPanel is a crucial step to maintain your website’s security and ensure it runs smoothly. Whether you have forgotten your password, need to update it for security reasons, or are resolving a connection issue, resetting it can help maintain access between your website and its database.
1. Access cPanel directly through your Z.com account.
2. Once you have reached the cPanel dashboard, locate Manage My Databases under Databases.
3. Upon reaching the Manage My Databases page, scroll down to locate the Current Users section. Next to the user whose password you want to reset, click Change Password.
4. Enter the new password twice, then click Change Password. You may also make use of the Password Generator to generate a strong password.
5. Done! A successfully reset password for the database user should look like this. You can click OK to be redirected back to the Manage My Databases page.
