A Top-Level Domain (TLD) is the domain extension in your domain name. For example, the .com in yourbusinessname.com is a TLD. It’s separated into two options, gTLD and ccTLD.
Generic Top-Level Domain (gTLD) is available for general purposes and does not restrict to any country and region. The most common gTLDs include .com, .net, .org, etc. Different ones are suitable for different purposes of a website.
Country-Code Top-Level Domain (ccTLD) ends with a two-character country code (.ph, .sg, .my, etc.) generally used or reserved for a country.
* As ccTLDs are managed exclusively by their respective countries themselves. Therefore, they have their regulations involving a standard process and may not be available for purchase worldwide.
